The SIA (Japan Professional Ski Instructors Association, a public interest incorporated association) demonstrator selection competition was held at Appi Kogen Ski Resort in Iwate Prefecture from April 3rd to 5th.
Amazing! Naoya Yoshida, chief instructor at Minakami Kogen Pro Ski School & Kids Academy, placed 10th in the SIA Demonstrator selection process, becoming the first person to be certified as a demonstrator. This is the third person from our school to achieve this remarkable feat!

Due to heavy snowfall over the past few days, all lifts are now operational and skiing is possible across the entire resort.
Following Minakami Quad, the 3rd Romance Lift has also started operating!

With the snow depth reaching 60cm, the 3rd Romance Lift has started operating, bringing the total number of ski runs to four.
The kids' park "Kindergarten" is also open. However, the snow liner exclusively for "Kindergarten" is currently not in operation. Please note that transportation is by foot.

Due to a lack of snowfall, operations had been postponed, but due to snowfall caused by a sudden cold wave the night before, the Minakami Quad Lift was able to operate in the afternoon, and skiing became possible on the Grand Concourse. Operations will resume in stages depending on the snowfall.

We had planned to open on Saturday, December 18, 2021, but due to a lack of snowfall, only the Kids Park (Kindergarten) will be open.
