The 19th Minakami Snow Festival, where you can experience snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, will be held again this year!
After the tournament, a "Mascot Character Rock-Paper-Scissors Tournament" will be held near "Snow Palette"! Gunma-chan, the winner of the Yuru-chara Grand Prix, Minakami town's mascot characters Oide-chan and Yuuyu, as well as Gunma-based comedians Ankanminkan and Minakami's 18 hot spring signboard girls Senkyoku Musume will be in attendance! A rock-paper-scissors tournament open to everyone will be held.

The "1st Snowball Fight Asia Cup" was held.

The "1st Asia Cup in Minakami," a snowball fight competition to determine the best snowball fighter in Asia, saw approximately 80 participants from 8 teams representing various Asian countries and regions engage in fierce battles while enjoying the natural powder snow. The Shanghai team emerged victorious in this inaugural event, attracting considerable media attention and coverage from numerous outlets.

JTB and the Minakami Town Tourism Association in Gunma Prefecture have announced that they will be holding the "1st Snowball Fight Asia Cup in Minakami" (with 7 teams from Southeast Asia and other regions participating) at the Minakami Kogen Hotel 200 from January 27th to 28th, 2019.

Free parking! Free day-use bathing (not a hot spring)! A "day-trip ski center" with a free rest area and two restaurants.
Getting started is easy! You can also start skiing on the "Dandan Field Course" from next to the parking lot!
A free shuttle bus to "Minakami Kogen Hotel 200" is also running at all times!
"Day Trip Ski Center" operating days: Friday, December 28, 2018 to Sunday, January 6, 2019, and Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays until March 31 (excluding March 21).
"Dessert & Lunch Buffet Magnolia" is now open!

The "Magnolia" restaurant on the 2nd floor of the "Day Trip Ski Center" has been renovated!
In addition to 20 kinds of desserts and a chocolate fountain, there's a wide variety of dishes to enjoy, from curry and spaghetti to fried chicken, so that everyone from children to adults can have something to enjoy! A soft drink bar is also available♪

Until Thursday, December 27th, as part of the opening week, a one-day lift ticket is 2,000 yen for elementary school students and older, 500 yen for preschool children, and free for children under 2 years old.

In anticipation of colder temperatures this weekend, the "artificial snowmaking machines" have finally begun operation! Preparations for the opening on December 20th are accelerating even further.

The first snow has fallen ♪

The first snow of the season fell at "Minakami Kogen Hotel 200" on the last weekend of the green season. The children staying at the hotel were thrilled by the unexpected scenery! It was an early arrival of a world of white snow, and everyone is looking forward to the opening of "Minakami Kogen Ski Resort" on Thursday, December 20th.
